MP Manish Tewari Inaugurates New CCTV Cameras in Sector-32 Colony
Bahadurjeet Singh/royalpatiala.in News/ Chandigarh, March 15,2026 Manish Tewari, Member of Parliament from Chandigarh and former Union Minister, on Sunday inaugurated newly installed CCTV cameras in Sector-32 Colony. A grant of Rs 5 lakh from his MPLAD (MP quota) fund was released for the installation of these cameras.
Addressing residents on the occasion, Tewari said that the cameras would play an important role in keeping criminal elements in check in the area. He added that residents had been demanding CCTV surveillance for a long time, which is why he approved the Rs 5 lakh grant from his discretionary fund.
Tewari emphasized that the overall development of the area remains his priority and assured that there would be no shortage of funds for development works.
During the event, Chandigarh Congress Committee president H S Lucky appreciated the efforts of MP Manish Tewari toward the city’s development. He said that the Congress party has always believed in the politics of development.
