MRSPTU empanelled as Chartered Institute of Punjab Pollution Control Board

In another major achievement, Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU), Bathinda has been empaneled as Chartered Institute with the Punjab Pollution Control Board (PPCB) for a period of two years.

As per communication vide letter No. PPCB/No./2021/20809 from Punjab Pollution Control Board, the consultancy wing of the University will get monitoring consultancy for PPCB for two year i.e. till the end of 2023 .

In a press release issued here on Tuesday, MRSPTU, Dean Consultancy and Industry Linkage, Dr. Manjeet Bansal said the department would perform various functions to facilitate the industry. He said the University Consultancy Wing will suggest measures to be adopted by the Industry /Project for energy efficiency, conservation of resources, waste minimization and adopting and up-gradation to cleaner technology etc.

The MRSPTU Consultancy wing has been taking initiatives, signing MoU’s and roping in Industry and government departments for collaborative Research and Development projects to promote consultancy service. The University has been going all out to promote a collaborative environment between industry and academia, Dr. Bansal added.

MRSPTU, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Buta Singh Sidhu and Registrar, Dr. Gurinder Pal Singh Brar congratulated the MRSPTU Consultancy wing for the achievements and appreciated the efforts of the department.

Earlier, MRSPTU consultancy wing got monitoring consultancy for Punjab government’s Irrigation Department (Rajasthan Feeder) Project worth Rs. 150 crore.
