MRSPTU facilitating all PMS Scholarship beneficiaries: VC

Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU), Bathinda has opened Grievances Redressal Cell and a portal to facilitate the beneficiaries of Post-Matric Scholarship scheme (PMS) in order to extend every possible help to the students to solve their genuine problems in time.

In a press release issued here on Wednesday, MRSPTU, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Buta Singh Sidhu said the university has been issuing Degrees, Detail Marks Cards (DMC’s) and all documents to every student irrespective of fees and PMS Scholarship status of the students.

MRSPTU, Controller of Examination, Dr. Karanvir Singh said “Any student facing any issue related to degree /DMC or any other document can visit Grievances Redressal portal on www.mrsptu.ac.in or can contact office of Controller of Examination, MRSPTU, on for solution of their problem in hassle free manner,” he added. Further he/she may also contact at 87250-72413 or send an email to [email protected] or [email protected] for the resolution of any such issue faced by him/her within 15 days.

The MRSPTU has already issued strict instructions to all constituent and affiliated colleges not to retain the roll numbers, certificates, DMC and degrees of SC students due to non-payment / non reimbursement of fee.

“The constituent and affiliated private Institutions were given clear instructions that SC students are allowed to give exams and not be deprived of their mark-sheets and degrees so that they can apply for higher studies and careers,” said Registrar Dr. Gurinder Pal Singh Brar.

The university has been taking concrete steps to improve the online Scholarship/Tuition fee application system by incorporating timely reminders to the institutions which have not uploaded data or uploaded incomplete data and including further checks and balances in the system to ensure complete data entry to ensure timely & accurate data feeding so that Scheduled Castes students do not suffer.

After admission of the students, the college/ institutes /under MRSPTU are directed to ensure that all these student’s applications are checked / verified before uploading the data so that their applications are not rejected.
