MRSPTU launched admissions process with its affiliated colleges

Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU), Bathinda and private colleges affiliated with the university have launched coordinated efforts for the admission in the current academic session 2020-21 amid the prevailing COVID 19 situation.

An online meeting of the Admission Committee chaired by MRSPTU, Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Mohan Paul Singh Ishar and comprising University Registrar, Dr. Buta Singh Sidhu, Dean Academic Affairs and Campus Director, Dr. Savina Bansal, Admission Cell chairman Dr. Manjit Bansal and Director IT enabled services Dr. Bhupinder Singh  and Director Public Relations, Harjinder Sidhu, chairman/directors/representatives from  various colleges affiliated with the University  held at the VC office on Friday.

During the meeting deliberations were held on the admission process, campaign, schedule and online services provided by the university to students in view of the prevailing COVID 19 situation.  The university and colleges also discussed strategy for the academic session 2020-21 due to challenges posed by COVID 19 situation and stressed on the need for joint efforts for admission to cope up with the state of affairs.

Dr. Ishar said that during these tough times due to COVID-19 online administrative services and classes are the best ways for the students so that they do not face any academic loss. He advised the affiliated colleges to have programs ready to accept fees from students online and also uploading certificates by students.

Giving details of online services, Registrar, Dr. Buta Singh Sidhu  told that the students of MRSPTU would be able to raise application requests online for availing various services, such as Provisional Degree Certificate (PDC) Transcript, documents/degree/ Detailed Marks Card (DMC) correction, verification, attestation etc. The students could pay fee online and receive the document copies online in their student Login. The admission related schedule and guidelines for admission can be accessed at www.mrsptu.ac.in  university website for different courses.

Dr. Savina Bansal informed that the University offers a wide array of 70 under graduate, post graduate and Skill development courses  in Science and Technology, Management, Science,   Architecture, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Food Science and Aeronautics etc. and  newer teaching and research programmers through its affiliated/ constituent colleges and Campus. She also addressed the queries raised by the affiliated colleges.



The Chairmen/ Directors and representatives of Technical Education Institutions  under University territorial ambit pledged to provide all support to the  prestigious university for smooth admission process and quality education.

Giving more details about the student oriented online service provider portal of the University, the officials said that the students could also opt to receive the documents by post by paying postage charges. The university staff would see the online requests of the students along with the details submitted in staff login.  After processing the request, the required document would be uploaded to the student login.  This system is also integrated with the university accounts management system so that receipts of the fee paid are automatically added to financial books under appropriate heads.
