MRSPTU Physics Department Celebrates National Science Day 2024

The Department of Physics at Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU), Bathinda, marked National Science Day 2024 with fervor and enthusiasm, celebrating the birth anniversary of Sir C.V. Raman under the theme ‘Indigenous Technologies for Viksit Bharat.’
The event, supported by esteemed organizations like the Punjab State Council for Science & Technology (PSCST), the National Council for Science & Technology Communication (NCTSC), and the Department of Science & Technology (DST) Government of India, witnessed a spectacular display of talent and creativity.
In the various competitions held, the following winners were announced:
– Science Project Making Competition:
- Team PM-8 (Harish & Amanjeet)
- Team PM-9 (Sakil Khan, Manish Saini & Ritesh Sharma)
- Team PM7 (Kunal Singla, Jaisuraj Bagh & Amandeep)
– Science & Technology Quiz:
– Winners: Team 13 (Disha & Shubham)
– 2nd Runner-Up: Team 17 (Sunny & Chand)
– 3rd Runner-Up: Team 10 (Jashanpreet & Sahil)
– Science and Fun Activities:
- Team SF3 (Jashanpreet & Arshpreet)
- Team SF6 (Guneet & Sukhwinder)
- Team SF8 (Amanpreet & Noor)
– Waste to Best Competition:
- Team BW15 (Kirandeep Kaur & Pinky)
- Team BW13 (Armandeep Singh & Ramandeep Kaur)
- Teams BW3 & BW1 (Navjot – Dalbeer & Shikha – Ramanpreet Kaur)
Dr. Supriya, along with faculty and staff members, expressed gratitude to all participants for their enthusiastic involvement.
Prof. Sandeep Kansal, Head of Department, highlighted the pivotal role of indigenous technologies in fostering self-sufficiency and national progress, urging students to contribute towards making India a Viksit Bharat by 2047. He also commended the efforts of Program Coordinator Dr. Gagan Gupta and the entire Organizing Team for the event’s success.
