MRSPTU-UBS crowns Harmanpreet Singh and Saanvi as Mr. & Ms. Fresher 2025 at ‘Sangam 2025’ – A Grand Welcome for New Students

The University Business School (UBS) of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU), Bathinda, hosted its much-awaited fresher’s celebration, ‘Sangam 2025’, with great enthusiasm, joy, and vibrant participation.
The event marked a memorable beginning for the new academic session and provided a platform for freshers to showcase their talents and connect with their seniors and faculty members.
The highlight of the evening was the crowning of Mr. Harmanpreet Singh (B.Com) and Ms. Saanvi (BBA) as Mr. and Ms. Fresher 2025, amid loud cheers and applause. Their confident performances and graceful presence won them the coveted titles, adding a sparkling moment to the grand celebration.
The event commenced with a warm welcome address by Dr. Pritpal Singh Bhullar, Head, UBS, who extended heartfelt greetings to the newcomers. He highlighted the school’s commitment to academic excellence, innovation, entrepreneurial leadership, and integrity, noting that UBS, with over 1,000 students, is one of the largest and most dynamic departments at MRSPTU. He expressed pride in the department’s efforts to emerge among the top business schools in India.
The celebration was graced by Prof. (Dr.) Sanjeev Kumar Sharma, Vice-Chancellor, MRSPTU, as the Chief Guest, who appreciated the remarkable progress of UBS and its emphasis on quality education, research, and strong industry-academia linkages. He encouraged students to take full advantage of the opportunities provided by the university to excel academically and professionally.
The Guests of Honour, Sukhwinder Singh Sandhu, Senior General Manager (HR), Bathinda Chemicals Limited, and Lalit Mohan, Managing Director, Saint Sita Ram Innovation Lab, Bathinda, inspired students with their motivational words, urging them to remain focused, determined, and disciplined to achieve success in their careers.
Dr. Gurinder Pal Singh Brar, Registrar, MRSPTU, congratulated the UBS team for organizing such a vibrant and well-coordinated event. He advised the students to remain humble, learn sincerely from their mentors, and uphold values of integrity and hard work throughout their academic journey.
The event was successfully coordinated by UBS faculty members including Dr. Puneet Bansal, Dr. Simarjit Kaur, Dr. Rozy, Arpita Bhattacharya, Charanjeet Singh, and Amritpal Singh, whose dedicated efforts ensured a seamless and enjoyable experience for all participants.
The evening was filled with energetic cultural performances, engaging games, and interactive sessions, creating an atmosphere of joy and unity. The Mr. & Ms. Fresher 2025 contest proved to be the most awaited segment of the event, symbolizing the celebration of confidence, talent, and youthful exuberance.
