The much hyped news of arrest of Sandeep Bareta, key accrued of Bargari Sacrilege by Bengaluru police comes out to be a false news.
Faridkot police, few minutes ago posted a message on their social media account “A communication from Immigration Authorities, #Bengaluru Airport was received regarding detaining of Sandeep s/o Om Prakash r/o New Delhi) matching the description of Sacrilege accused Sandeep Bareta on the basis of LOC issued by Faridkot Police in Bargari Sacrilege Cases. The matter was promptly duly verified. It has been found that the detained person at Bengaluru Airport is not the wanted Sacrilege accused Sandeep Bareta r/o Sirsa, #Haryana.
Sandeep Bareta, the main conspirator in the Bargari sacrilege case of 2015 in Punjab’s Faridkot, is a national committee member of Sirsa-based Dera Sacha Sauda. He is involved in three interlinked incidents of sacrilege in Faridkot, and a court had declared him a proclaimed offender. He had been on the run for the last seven years. A lookout notice was also issued against him by the Punjab Police.
As per available information, at Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) in Bengaluru, a person named Sandeep was detained by Bureau of Immigration (BOI) officials after they discovered the lookout circular associated with his passport, while he was attempting to board an international flight. The officials informed the authorities in Punjab.
