NCC students of Police DAV Public School took out Anti Drug rally

NCC students of Police DAV Patiala organized an anti drug rally at village Dadhera and its surrounding to create awareness among the people about the ill effects of consuming drugs. Students marched through the village raising slogans “Say No To drugs”, “Drugs don’t take you to heights”, “Stay away from drugs and live happily” etc. Total 33 NCC students participated in the rally under the guidance of their incharge Puneet Parkash Singh.
The students went door to door informing the people about different types of drugs that lead to death. They also told them how one can avoid them. The people were informed about the bad effects of drugs on life and health. They were also made aware about the nearby de addiction centres and the efforts of the government to control drugs.
Police DAV Public School Principal, Meena Thapar said,” The issue of addiction to drugs and alcohol is one of great concern in modern society and its moral duty of every individual to curb the deadly menace” . She stressed the need to spread the message far and wide to save the new generation from getting perished into drugs. She complimented the efforts of the NCC wing in this regard.
