Newly formed Progressive Alliance of Power Officers (PAPO), representing a dedicated and experienced professionals in the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) has written a letter to the CM Mann, condemning the baseless allegations being levied by the powercom officials.

PAPO was formed on April 28,2026 with Jastej Singh Tiwana as president and Gurmanpreet Singh a general secretary said in their letter to CM “ it is brought to your kind notice and to the attention of the general public that such baseless propaganda, being spread in some media sections, is solely intended to tarnish the image of PSPCL and the State Government for selfish interests. It is pertinent to mention that during the interview process for the post of Director Commercial, a similar approach was adopted by state government. However, at that time, since their preferred candidate was selected, they did not resort to such below-the-belt tactics.”

PAPO organization secretary Amandeep Singh Dhindsa said “at this juncture, when the so-called honest Director was dismissed from service and no potential candidate having allegiance to that particular coterie exists, the same coterie is now levelling baseless allegations against engineers who possess than 35 years of outstanding and unblemished experience”.

The Progressive Alliance of Power Officers stands firmly with the State Government and the management of PSPCL in upholding transparency, discipline and merit. This alliance is of firm belief that any decision taken by the state government on this regard will be to benefit of both PSPCL and its esteemed consumers.”
