NIA announces cash prize of 10 lakh each on Nijjar and Multani

National Investigation Agency (NIA) has announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh each on Hardeep Singh Nijjar, accused in attack on Hindu priests Kamaldeep Sharma and Simranjit Kaur in Phillaur and on Jaswinder Singh Multani, accused in planting of tiffin looking like lED, an object looking like detonator and a black cotor bag was tying near the tiffin near the Burail jail in Chandigarh.
Case history of Hardeep Singh Nijjar
The information was received by PS Phillaur’ Jalandhar that two unknown persons have attacked on Hindu priests Kamaldeep Sharma and Simranjit Kaur in Phillaur. lt emerged during investigation that they were targeted on the directions of Hardeep singh Nijlar of terror outfit Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF), to attack prominent persons of other faiths to create a sense of fear and disharmony in the society
Punjab police had booked Arshdeep Sinqh R/o Dala, Mehna, Moga, Hardeep Singh Nijjar R/o Bharsinghpur, PS- philaur, District Jalandhar,now residing 12551, 89-A Ave, Surrey, BC-1A9, Canada, Kamaljit Sharma @ Kamal R/o Dala, Mehna, Moga, Ram Singh @ Sona, R/o Ghat Khurd, Ferozpur, Gagandeep Singh R/o Tower Wali Gati, Near Old Gurudwara, Saifpur, Firozpur Ramraj, PS- Behsuma, Districl Meerut (U.P.), Lovepreet @ Ravi R/o Dala, Mehna Moga vide FIR no 28 dated 3 1.01 .2021 at PS Phillaur, District Jalandhar Rural under sections 307 & 34 of IPC and sections 25 & 27 of Arms Act, 1959 and subsequently added sections 10, 11, and 13 of the Un lawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 relating to firing on Kamaldeep Sharma and Simranjit Kaur, Sewadars of mandir, by two youth who had their face covered with mufflers on 31.01.2021 at about 09:40 AM.
Later, the NIA Registered the case as RC- 27l2OZ1lNlA’/DLl dated 08 10 2021under Act UA(P) Act, 1967 : Sections 10, 11 & 13, Act – lndian Penal Code : Sections 307 & 34, Act- Arms Act, 1959 : Sections 25 & 27.
Case history of Jaswinder Singh Multani
On 23.04.2A22 around 7.30 PM, Amanjot Singh, Insp along with QRT of Operations Cell, was patrolling, and when they reached at the back wall of Burail Jail (Chandigarh), they saw flames of fire in the bushes near the wall. The Patrolling team stopped immediately at the spot to check the flames and saw there was fire in the bushes and a suspiciously tiffin looking like lED, an object looking like detonator and a black cotor bag was tying near the tiffin. The fire was about to reach the tiffin and was extinguished. Accordingly information was given to PS Sector 49, Chandigarh, resulting into registration of FIR No. 33 dated 24.04.2022.
An FIR No 33 dated 2410412022 was registered at PS Sector 49 UT Chandigarh u/s 3 & 4 of Explosive Substance Act relating to recovery of explosive substance in a tiffin, a detonator, a Black colour Redmi Mobile handset and black colour bag near Model Burail Jail, Chandigarh. And whereas, sections 13, 18 & 20 of UA (P) Act, 1967 were invoked later in this case by the Chandigarh Police.
Later, the NIA re-registered a case vide RC-22/2O2/lNlA/DLl dated 18 .05..2022 under Act- UA (P) Act, 1967 -: Sections 13, 18 &20 and Act- Explosive Substances Act, 1908 : Sections3&4

As per NIA officials, informant having any information leading to arrest of Hardeep Singh Nijjar and Jaswinder Singh Multani absconding accused will be rewarded with Rs 10:00 lakh each and his identity will be kept secret.
