NITTTR Chandigarh and NIT Jalandhar organise national level online STC

During Covod-19, when it is not possible to make scientific, research and academic meetings under one roof to share their knowledge. In this scenario, National Institute of Technical teachers Training & Research (NITTTR) Chandigarh and National Institute of Technology (NIT) Jalandhar have joined hands to organize online National Level Short Term Course (STC) on “Nanoscience for Engineering Applications” during 22nd to 26th June 2020.
The main objective of this STC is to bring together (online) the academicians, researchers, engineers and scholars from institutions, universities and industries to exchange and share their Views and ideas about the Nanoscience for Engineering Applications. Eminent academicians from IITs, NITs, NITTTR and Industry personal have delivered their talk on various aspects and navel application of Nanoscience . In his address Prof. S.S, Pattnaik Director NITTTR said both National institutes will do hand holding to work jointly and to have optimum use of intellect and resource.
Further he said during this lockdown period NITTTR faculty work tremendously hard to hold national wise STC’s and trained more than Twenty thousand faculty members. Dr. Pattnaik said we are starting Master of Engineering in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), Robotics from this academic session and Web security which is need of the hour will be started soon. Prof. (Dr.) L K Awasthi, Director NIT Jalandhar said NIT has got 52th NIRF rank and extend his gratitude to faculty and staff. Dr. Awasthi said Nanoscaices is playing a very important role in our daily life .
He said it is matter of great satisfaction that more than 150 participants have attended this program nation wise and will accumulate knowledge from expert of reputed institutions. Further Dr Awashi said NITTTR Chandigarh and NIT Jalandhar will compliment and supplements each other and jointly work on different sphere. Dr. Piush Verma, Professor, Electrical Engineering Department, NITTTR Chandigarh, welcomed the dignitaries and participants. Prof. S. K. Sinha Dean (R&C) said that this STC is online through WebEx and Eminent Speakers from IIT Delhi Prof. Ashwani Aggrawal, Prof. Rajendra Singh, Prof. Manjeet Jassal (IIT Delhi), Prof. P. Gopinath from IIT Roorke have deliberated on real time applications of nanoscience and nanotechnology for societal use, nano-material’s applications for healthcare textile, the cancer nanotechnology and their research & developments, role of nano-materials nano-devices and nanotechnology.
