NITTTR Organized Faculty Development Programme on Sensor Technology

Sensors are expected to be a vital part of the success story of Industry 4.0. The National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR) took a step forward in this direction by providing 5 days online training to faculty members, research scholars and industry personnel through an ‘AICTE Training and Learning (ATAL)’ academy sponsored on Sensors Technology. The program started on September 21, 2020 and concluded on September 25, 2020.

The chief guest of the valedictory function was Professor (Dr.) Shyam Sundar Pattnaik Director, NITTTR Chandigarh. He highlighted the importance of sensors technology in improving medical diagnostics and enhancing performance of energy devices such as fuel cells and batteries. Professor Pattnaik discussed the utility of sensors in improving health, safety and security, and explained their role in space exploration and environmental monitoring.

The program covered various aspects of sensors technology such as nano-sensors electrochemical biosensors, Nanostructured based gas sensors and Flexible and smart sensors.The chief guest of the inaugural function of the jointly organized 68 online faculty development programmes throughout the country was Prof. Anil D. Sahasrabudhe, Chairman, AICTE, New Delhi. 200 participants were registered for this program. This program was coordinated by Dr. Ashok Kumar and Prof. Pankaj Sharma.

Satyanarayana, CEO Satya Bharathi Consultants and former Vice Chancellor BML Munjal University;  Hardik Patel, CEO Epsilon Electronics, Gujarat; Prof. Sunita Rattan, Director, Amity Institute of Applied Sciences, Amity University Uttar Pradesh; Dr. Mrinal Pal, Senior Principal Scientist, CSIR- CGCRI Kolkata; Dr. Baban Kumar Bonsod, Principal Scientist, CSIR-CSIO Chandigarh; Dr Rahul Prajesh, Senior Scientist CSIR-CEERI, Pilani, Dr. Tharamani C N and Dr. Rajendra Prasad, IIT Ropar; Dr. C R Mariappan, NIT Kurukshetra; Dr. Nikhil Marriwala, HoD, ECE, UIET, Kurukshetra University; and Dr. Ritula Thakur, Dr. Ashok Kumar and Prof. Pankaj Sharma, NITTTR Chandigarh.
