Now, Punjab’s Food and Civil supplies Inspector Union announces Mass Leave

Today, Punjab food and civil supplies department inspectors union has announced a ‘mass leave’ for November 24,2022 against the high handedness of  state vigilance department.

Spokesperson of Inspector Union said “today the Vigilance Bureau has checked the crates supplied in the previous years at different centers of different districts in the state. The vigilance bureau seizes the substandard crates found at the godowns.”

“For some time now, the officers and employees of the department are being deliberately harassed by the vigilance in one way or the others. The leave no point to harass inspectors of state government procurement agency in the name of gate pass or sometimes in the crates” added the spokesperson.

“Due to this action of the Vigilance Bureau, there is an atmosphere of fear and dissatisfaction in the entire inspector class. It is an open secret under what circumstances, conditions crates are being supplied to us. So, keeping in view today’s action of the vigilance bureau in various districts of Punjab, a decision has been taken by Inspector Union Punjab that tomorrow all inspectors of food and civil supplies department will take mass leave” added the spokesperson.

He further added that “a delegation of the inspector union will meet the Principal Secretary of the department on November 24,2022 to put forward our point and raise our genuine demands. The outcome of the meeting with PS will decide our further course of action.”

Now, Punjab’s Food and Civil supplies Inspector Union announces Mass Leave. Meanwhile all officers of foodgrain procurement agencies of Punjab namely PUNGRAIN, MARKFED, PUNSUP and Punjab State warehousing Corporation (PSWC) has already proceeded on mass strike from today against the series of extraneous FIRs lodged by the vigilance bureau, Punjab.

The Confederation of Officers of Punjab Foodgrain Agencies have demanded the cancellation of all FIRs in tendering process be cancelled immediately, No new FIR should be lodged, No officer should be nominated in the FIRs, No FIR should be lodged on the basis of mere suspicion, any other complaint received by the VB should be sent to the department, the enquiry initiated into the wooden carets by the VB from the last many years should be stopped.
