NSS Unit of Government Bikram College, Patiala Organized Blood Donation Camp

The NSS unit of Government Bikram College of Commerce, Patiala organized a Blood Donation Camp on the fifth day of the Seven Day NSS camp under the guidance of Principal Prof. (Dr.) Kusum Lata. It was organised in association with Lions Club Patiala Central. A team from Blood Bank, Government Rajindra Hospital, Patiala played an important role in the accomplishment of this camp. A total of 27 units of blood were collected from donors including PTA members, alumni, staff member Asst. Prof. Ritika Maini and students.
The event was inaugurated by Retd. Principal Prof. Ram Kumar, who commended the efforts of the NSS volunteers. He also donated Rs. 5000 for the NSS langar.
Principal Prof.(Dr.) Kusum Lata lauded the volunteers for their selfless contribution and encouraged them to continue working for the community, in the community and with the community.
To recognize their efforts, certificates were awarded to all the donors. Refreshments were also provided to them by the team of Lions Club.
The entire programme was organised by the NSS Programs Officers Shashi Bala, Asst. Prof. Satinder Kaur and Dr. Harsimran Kaur. The camp received an overwhelming response from the college staff, students and ended on a successful note.
