NSS Unit of Rayat College of Law organized Blood Donation Camp

The NSS Unit of Rayat College of Law, in collaboration with the NSS Unit of LTSU Punjab, successfully organized a Blood Donation Camp  at the college campus.

The camp was jointly inaugurated by NS Rayat Chancellor LTSU Punjab and B. S Pannu Chief Spokesperson Govt of Punjab. They felicitated the blood donors and organisers. This noble initiative was undertaken with the generous sponsorship of the Rotary Club, Rupnagar, and the technical assistance for blood collection was provided by the dedicated team of the Blood Bank, Civil Hospital, Rupnagar.

The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Nirmal Singh Rayat, Chancellor, LTSU Punjab,   Baltej Singh Pannu as the Chief Guest. He interacted warmly with the students, appreciated their spirit of social service, and encouraged them to remain committed to such humanitarian causes. Prof. B. S. Satyal, Registrar of LTSU Punjab, was present as the Guest of Honour and took part in the certificate distribution ceremony, thereby motivating the participants and acknowledging their contribution to the camp.

The camp was meticulously coordinated by Dr. Sohnu, Programme Officer of the NSS Unit, Rayat College of Law, along with  team members Nitika Soni, Disha, and Ajitabh Mishra. Rattan Kaur, NSS Coordinator from LTSU Punjab, also played an instrumental role in the joint organization of this event. In this camp about 40 units of blood was collected  from donors. NSS volunteers from both units rendered their services.

Adding value to the event, Sudhir Sharma, President of Rotary Club, Rupnagar, and Dr. Ankur Wahi, Secretary of the Club, attended the event and blessed the students for their noble contribution towards society. Their support as sponsors was pivotal in the smooth functioning of the camp.

Dr. Mahender Singh, Vice Principal of Rayat College of Law,  honoured the doctors and staff members from Civil Hospital, Rupnagar, recognizing their service and dedication to public health and welfare.

The event concluded with an encouraging address by Dr. Monika Sharma, Principal, Rayat College of Law, Railmajra, who praised the tireless efforts of the NSS Unit of the college. She emphasized the importance of youth participation in nation-building activities and expressed pride in the students’ spirit of volunteerism.
