Reflective Tapes are mandatory for all Vehicles, as per Rule No 104 of Central Motor Vehicle Rule, 1989. The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, through a notification dated July 22, 2010 asked all the governments to ensure the implementation of this rule.
Mukat Public School, Rajpura through its community and NSS wing launched a campaign to paste reflective stickers on vehicles so that the incidents of road accidents can be best avoided/ reduced in this foggy season.
It has been noticed that due to the lack of reflectors during foggy season there are many accidents. By installing the reflectors on rear side, front side of a vehicle helps in instantly spotting or noticing a stagnant or slow moving vehicle on road during this foggy season and helps in avoiding road accidents.
Students also made aware the driver of vehicles about the importance of reflectors and no vehicle should be parked alongside the road, without reflector .Residents of Rajpura appreciated the initiative taken by students of Mukat Public School’s to install Reflectors on vehicles.
