NTAS celebrated Swachh Vatavaran-Swachh Soach Festival

National Theatre Arts Society (NTAS) Patiala concluded their two day “Swachh Vatavaran-Swachh Soach” Nukkad Natak Festival at Bhai Gurdas Nursing College, Village Phaggan Majra, 12 KMs from here, getting good response and winning much public esteem for NTAS’ artists and North Zone Cultural Centre, Patiala.
NTAS director Pran Sabharwal informed that the NZCC had selected NTAS for staging two shows of Nukkad Nataks on the theme of Swachh Bharat under their ongoing fortnight campaign entitled “2nd Swachhta Pakhwara”.
Festival’s much attractive play “Swachh Vatavaran- Swachh Soach” strongly condemns society’s evils with regard to environmental and mental pollution and effectively spreads awareness about cleanliness and hygiene through personified forest animals.
Noted social personality, educationist Prof. B.S. Baluana, Chairman Bhai Gurdas Nursing College, speaking at the concluding festivals lauded NZCC director Prof. Saubhagya Vardhan and NTAS’ duo Pran Sabharwal-Sunita Sabharwal for their strenuous efforts for spreading awareness about people’s duty towards theatre movement and cleanliness.
A day earlier, state’s known social leader, art patron Karnail Singh Chairman Bhai Sahib Gurbaksh Singh Memorial Trust Majri Akalian, 8 Kms from here inaugurated the festival held at Trust Complex. The team of NTAS’ 12 artists include Pran Sabharwal, Jagdish Kumar, Sweety Rajput, Rajshri, Jagriti Khurana, Rajat Chouhan, Inderpreet, Rahul, Deepak Pandey, Ekjot Singh, Manjit Mani, Vaibhav Bansal and Ajmer Singh.
