School of Education (SOE),  Guru Nanak Dev University under the scheme of Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya Nation Mission on Teacher and Training (PMMMNMTT), Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India is organising one day online  workshop on  Planning and Organising Research using Scopus and Mendeley to be held on April 10, 2020.

Prof Jaspal singh sandhu, Vice Chancellor said during this lockdown period, which is quite stressing, is very important for faculty to engage in activities which gives them sense of satisfaction towards their professional development.

Prof. (Dr.)  Amit  Kauts, Project Coordinator, School of Education, & Prof Inchage, Library Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar said  that the purpose of workshop is to provide participants with exhaustive Hands on Practice for using ‘Scopus and Mendeley’ which would help the teachers and scholars to plan and organize the research work more effectively.  He said that this programme is designed to gain insights on: What editors/reviewers want?,  How to choose journals?, How to find appropriate funding opportunities?. How to find relevant collaborators and How to find research trends and impact?

Online mode-GNDU is going to organize one day online workshop; PDP for faculty members.The workshop will be held on April 10, 2020 in collaboration with Elsevier in online mode. He requested All teachers  and scholars of the university to
make best use of this opportunity when we all are locked down. The workshop will be organised by using ZOOM as online media.
Approximately 450 faculty members and scholars from universities and colleges from around 20 states of the country have already applied  out of 500 seats.
