Dr Girish Sahni assumes charges as Medical Superintendent Govt. Rajindra Hospital

Today Dr. Girish Sahni Professor and Head Department of Orthopaedics assumed charge as new Medical Superintendent of Govt. Rajindra Hospital, Patiala.

Earlier on June 8,2024 former MS, Govt Rajindra Hospital, Patiala Dr Harman Singh Reikhi had resigned from the post citing health reasons.

Since then the authorities had worked hard to find a new MS , Govt Rajindra Hospital. Finally, the authorities zero in on Dr Girish Sahni and appointed him as MS, Govt Rajindra Hospital, Patiala

As per sources, the health department authorities had contacted many senior doctors to accept the post of MS, but most of them has refused to sit on a hot seat of medical superintendent.

Day before yesterday, on July 3,2024 the Director-Principal of Govt Medical College, Patiala Dr Rajan Singla has also resigned from his post.

After assuming the charge, he said “he will assure to further uplift the health facilities to the poor and needy patients coming to Rajindra Hospital”.

He said that his highest priority is to provide best health services to patients. He said that he was committed to carry on the drive for upgrading health infrastructure initiated by chief minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and Health Minister Dr Balbir Singh.
