PAFMAT to hold regular CMEs for its members- Bhullar

Punjab Academy of Forensic Medicine & Toxicology (PAFMAT) a state body of forensic medicine and medicolegal experts of Punjab state in its annual general body meeting has decided to hold regular monthly virtual continuous medical education (CME) programmes for its members to keep them updated on the latest developments in the field of human crime detection and investigation.
Chairing the annual meeting with participating of the members from Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh, Dr. DS Bhullar president of PAFAMAT said keeping in view the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, it is not possible to discuss some important matters regularly requiring forensic advise and opinions by physical participation of forensic experts and it has been decided to discuss such matters by virtual meetings regularly with involvement of senior forensic and medicolegal experts which will not only save time but will also ensure maximum participation for better discussion and conclusions.
The house also thanked the Department of Forensic Medicine of Government Medical College Amritsar for successfully holding the 18th annual conference of the academy virtually with record involvement of more than 300 delegates from all over the country. Organizing Chairman of the conference Dr. Ashok Chanana proposed vote of thanks at the end of the meeting with special appreciation of Dr. Parmod Goyal from Adesh Medical College Bathinda for hosting the virtual meeting. General Secretary Dr Akashdeep Aggarwal and Joint secretary Dr. Didar Singh Walia conducted the proceedings of the house.
