Patiala Court grants bail to Ravneet Bittu’s close aide

Today, the court of Avtar Singh Barda, additional district and session judge Patiala has granted bail to Rajesh Attri a close aide of Union minister of State and BJP leader Ravnet Singh Bittu, in a SC/ST case registered by Patiala police.

As per Ranbir Singh Grewal, advocate of Rajesh Attri “the court has granted bail to Rajesh Attri and we have done all the formalities. Hopwfully, he will be out of jail by today evening itself. He added Attri is directed to attend the trial court proceedings, not to leave the country.”

Senior superintendent of police (SSP), Patiala Nanak Singh had already formed a three member special investigation team (SIT) to investigate the allegation of false FIR being lodged against Rajesh Attri. The three member special investigation team (SIT) will consist of DSPs Rajesh Chibber, Achru Ram and inspector Bajwa is investigating the allegations leveled by Rajesh Attri.

Earlier, on February 10,2025 Patiala police has lodged an FIR at Lahori Gate police station, Patiala under section 3(2) (v) of SC AND THE ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act , 1989 on the complaint of a Lahori Gate resident Ishu without investigating the complaint

The FIR was lodged at 9:36 am, whereas the family, friends of Rajesh Attri said “Patiala police in civvies came in the morning and takes away Rajesh Attri from his residence at 9:00 am”.
