Patiala district Covid update-cases surges; school staff too tested covid positive

Civil Surgeon Patiala Dr. Prince Sodhi said that out of 3182 covid reports received in the district today 598 cases were found covid positive. Out of which 516 cases are related to Patiala city, Samana 11, Nabha 06, Rajpura 04, Block Bhadson 05, Block Kali 26 Block Kalomajra 06 Block Harpalpur 06, Block Shutran 04 and Block Dudhansadh 14 cases.
24 school staff from three schools were are also included in this list. 12 teachers were tested Covid tested from one school and rest 12 teachers from rest two schools.
With this the number of covid positive cases in the district has increased to 50473 and with the recovery of 06 patients under Mission Fateh the number of recovering patients has increased to 47677 and the number of active cases has become 1431 and today no covid positive patients death is reported in the district. The total number of covid deaths is 1365.
He said that most of the positive cases in Patiala city are reported from Guru Nanak Nagar, Vidya Nagra, Ajit Nagar, Urban Estate Phase-2, Yadavindra Enclave, Rose Avenue, Bharat Nagar, Nagra Enclave, Moti Bagh, Anand Nagar B, New Lal Bagh, Majithia Enclave. , S.S.T. Nagar, Government Medical College, Lehal, Model Town, etc.
Keeping in view the increasing cases of covid in the district, the district health department has issued a letter to the government, private hospital and nursing home to set up a flu corner outside the OPD.

He said that the district health department has issued helpline numbers 0175-5127793 and 0175-5128793 for any information regarding Covid and for any medical assistance related to Covid call mobile number 88377-34514 or 62801-03430. These numbers will work from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

About 2604 samples for covid test have been taken by the teams of health department in the district today, so far 11,05,491 samples for covid test have been taken in the district. Out of which 50,473 covid positive, 10,53,323 negative and about 1695 reports of Patiala district are yet to be received.
