Patiala Leads in verifying Passports before given time period
Patiala- Patiala police is striving hard to provide the best of services to district residents. Patiala is the leading district in state in providing passport verification services in time. Giving information about this the District Community Police officer-cum-SP headquarter Kanwardeep Kaur (IPS) states that Saanjh Kendras have been established in the police stations in district and district level Saanjh Kendra has been established in the office of SSP Patiala where 43 kind of police related services are available under same roof. SI Suman Bala from Saanjh Kendra has been awarded with Commendation Disc for providing the best of services.
SP (H) Kanwardeep Kaur added that 21 days time period has been fixed for police verification for passport, which Patiala police completes within 10 days. Keeping in view the expeditious work, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Government of India has selected Patiala as a district for The M Passport App, which has been successfully implemented. Patiala has become the only district to successfully run this app and is now imparting training to other districts as well. The SP H Kanwardeep Kaur and passport wing in-charge ASI Sukhjinder Singh were awarded commendation disc in 2017 and the Chief Minister honored them on January 26, 2018 for the same good performance.
