Patiala Locomotive Works (PLW), Patiala hosts 16th Rozgar Mela

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has distributed 51,000 appointment letters to new recruits in government departments on 12.07.2025 as part of the 16th Rozgar Mela, which aims to create employment. He addressed the new appointees via video conferencing at 47 centres located across the country.

This Rozgar Mela is an important step in fulfilling the Prime Minister’s continued commitment to provide employment opportunities to the youth and to ensure the welfare of the citizens. As per the instructions of the Prime Minister, all the Ministries and Departments are working towards filling the existing vacancies against the sanctioned posts in this mission.

This mega event Rozgar Mela was organized at Patiala Locomotive Works (PLW), Patiala on 12.07.2025. During this Rozgar Mela organized at PLW Patiala, a total of 216 newly recruited candidates were distributed appointment letters. Rajesh Mohan, Principal Chief Administrative Officer (PCAO), PLW, handed over appointment letters to the new appointees.

The candidates got recruitment in Ministry of Railways, Ministry of Health, Department of Post, Department of Higher Education, Department of Water Resources, etc. These recruitments are done by Railway Recruitment Board and other Central Ministries & Departments. For speedy recruitment, the selection processes have been simplified and made technically efficient.

The newly appointed young men and women gathered for the appointment letter distribution program. There was great enthusiasm for this mission appointment program of the Prime Minister, and they expressed their gratitude to the Prime Minister for getting the appointment.
