Patiala Management Association organised a patriotic talk on “Insights of Operation Sindoor” by Maj Gen GD Bakshi

The Patiala Management Association successfully organized an insightful patriotic talk on “Insights of Operation Sindoor” by one of India’s most decorated and outspoken war veterans Maj Gen. (Dr.) GD Bakshi, SM,VSM (Retd.) for the members, residents of the royal city Patiala. It was well attended by the members, their spouses, guests at Hotel Montage, Patiala.

The session aimed to educate attendees how Indian Defence Forces (Army, Air Force and Navy) jointly destroyed terror bases in Pakistan after the Pahalgam attack and how the operation maintained strategic restraint while gaining international support.

Bhalinder Shah Singh , General Secretary Patiala Management Association and executive team welcomed the key note speaker, a military relations expert and war veteran Maj Gen. (Dr.) GD Bakshi, SM,VSM (Retd.). Dr Satyen Sharma , president PMA delivered the welcome address.

After the introductory ceremony key speaker Maj Gen Bakshi started his 100 minutes session with how he started his career as Second Lieutenant under the command of India’s pride Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw (Chief of Army Staff at that time) in 1971. He said he passed out NDA in 1971, just one month before the beginning of Indo-Pak war. Their batch was commissioned one month earlier so that they can be deputed at borders.”

Maj Gen Bakshi later highlighted the “Insights of Operation Sindoor” in an elaborate manner. He said ‘Operation SINDOOR’ marked one of India’s boldest military responses in recent history.

He pointed that “Through strategic policymaking, information dominance, and psychological operations, India diplomatically and economically isolated Pakistan while strengthening domestic preparedness and global backing.” He added by suspending the Indus Water Treaty, India sent a decisive message- “Blood and water cannot flow together.” On the global stage, India exposed Pakistan’s terror infrastructure and diplomatically isolated it.

The event was well-received by participants, providing valuable insights and knowledge about how our defence forces saved India from enemies attack and destroyed the backbone of Pakistan by razing its air bases, terrorist camps.

At the end of the session Gitesh Singla gave a vote of thanks.

Later the Patiala management Association’s advisor Parvesh Mangla along with executive members of PMA honoured the speaker, his better half and thanked him for an informative talk.
