Samana police has busted an interstate gang selling New-Born babies.
As per available information, Samana police got secret information that a gang of baby traffickers is making a deal of two newly born babies at a ground in Samana. The police laid a trap near the deal point. The accused is using his four wheeler Innova as an Ambulance and the deal was going to happen when police raided and arrested the accused.
Samana police has arrested seven persons namely Baljinder Singh a resident of Allowal under Bhadson police station, Amandeep Kaur resident of Anand Nagar, Patiala , Lalit Kumar resident of Bhai Ka Mohalla, Sunam, Bhupinder kaur resident of Tripuri, Patiala, Sujeet resident of Beeswari Ghat district Madhepur, Bihar, Harpreet Singh resident of Sanghera Fourpatti, Barnala, Sukhwinder Singh resident of Jhabalwali district Sri Muktsar sahib now Dhanas, Chandigarh in the case and booked all of them under section 370 (5) (Trafficking of person), 120-B (criminal conspiracy) IPC, Section 81 the Juvnile Justice (Care & Protection of Children) Act (offence is committed by a person having actual charge of the child, including employees of a hospital or nursing home or maternity home).
