Patiala police crack day light murder of govt contractor; businessman kill businessman

Mukhwinder Singh Chinna, inspector general of police, Patiala range has disclosed the cracking of day light murder of govt contractor Darshan Singla, by Patiala police.
Chinna held a press conference at police lines along with senior superintendent of police (SSP), Patiala Varun Sharma, SP (City) Sarfraz Alam and other police officers and informed the media that a businessman Pawan Bajaj alias Tinu had killed his business rival Darshan Singla of SS Provider on May 4,2023 at Nabha road, Patiala.
As per IG Chinna, “Pawan Bajaj alias Tinu who is also a service provider (providing employees on contractual basis to govt departments) had got a contract of sector 32 hospital, Chandigarh. The administrative staff of the hospital informed Pawan Bajaj that they had received complaints against him. Both (Pawan Bajaj and Darshan Singla) had filed numerous complaints against each other following business related differences . But, in a fit of rage, Pawan Bajaj alias Tinu killed Darshan Singla with his licensed .32 bore revolver. He had fired 5 rounds and out of which 3 rounds hit Darshan Singla and he succumbed to his injuries at Govt Rajindra hospital.”

SSP Patiala Varun Sharma himself takes the charge and within 5-6 hours the accused is identified. Later, SHO urban estate Amritveer Singh on a specific information arrested him” said the IG Chinna.
He further added “with this murder, two families are completely destroyed. The family of the accused is destroyed because it is a he is going to behind the bars for his remaining life , his business is destroyed. Similarly, the family of the deceased is also destroyed as their earning hand is no more and his well established business is also going to suffer.”
