Patiala Police on high alert as Punjab Governor is in City, reputed schools receive bomb threat

Today, many reputed schools in Patiala have once again received bomb threat emails. Acting swiftly, the Patiala police reached the schools along with a dog squad and began searching the premises. As a precautionary measure, schools have asked parents to take their wards home.
Confirming the same, SP City Palwinder Singh Cheema, PPS, said, “We are already on the job and are searching the school premises thoroughly.” He added, “Only private schools have received today’s threat. We will ensure the safety of every school child and search every nook and corner of the schools.”
As per reports, reputed schools such as YPS, DPS, Blossoms, BIPS, Mount Litera, APS, KVetc have received the threat emails.The schools have received the mails from the ‘Khalistan National Army” warning of blast at 1:11 pm. Schools have been evacuated. Army and police are conducting sanitation sweeps. Schools have advised the parents to remain calm and follow official protocols, instructions issued by police, district administration. Meanwhile no private vehicles are allowed inside the school premises.
Earlier on December 23,2025 various school, colleges, university had received the bomb threat mails.
Meanwhile, Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria is in Patiala today to attend the convocation of Punjabi University, Patiala, and the sesquicentennial valedictory ceremony of Government Mohindra College, Patiala.
