Patiala police have claimed to solve the sensational double murder case, that rocked the royal city on April 24,2023
Senior superintendent of police (SSP) Patiala, Varun Sharma today disclosed the solving of double murder case by Patiala police.
Addressing the media, Sharma said” Patiala police has arrested five accused for murdering Nakul, a resident of old Bishan Nagar and his friend Anil Kumar alias Chottu , a resident of Shaheed Bhagat singh Colony, Patiala on the April 24,2023 night. The police has registered a FIR number 62 under section 302,34 at Lahori Gate police station, Patiala.”
Adding further Sharma said” immediately after the incident, a team under the command of Mohammad Sarfraz Alam, IPS, superintendent of police (SP) City, Harbir Singh Atwal, deputy superintendent of police (DSP), Investigation, Sanjeev Singla, deputy superintendent of police (DSP-City-I), inspector Shaminder Singh, incharge CIA,Patiala was formed. The team has acted swiftly and solved the case within a week’s time.”
As per SSP Patiala “ Patiala police solves sensational double murder case of Nakul and Anil Kumar that were killed near Bus Stand, Patiala by these accused . They had an old enmity with each other. A compromise was done between them in three years old fight. But the accused were trying to take to revenge, since then and on April 24,2023 they killed them.”
“Today all the accused are arrested from Patiala- Sanour road while they are travelling in Verna car HR-10P-1002. The team has arrested the accused Yogesh Negi alias Honey, a resident of 66 KV Grid Colony, Patiala is a 10th pass, pursuing ITI , Jatin Kumar, resident of EWS, urban estate phase 2, Patiala is also a 10th pass and working as a labourer, Rahul resident of village Bhandari, district Sitamarhi, Bihar is also a 10th pass and working as a labourer, Ashwani Kumar resident of Bharat Nagar, Patiala is 10th pass and is working as a waiter, Ashok Kumar alias Gabbru is a resident of Lal quarter, phase 2, Patiala is a 4th class passout and is working as a labourer. Arshdeep Singh, another accused is still at large and will be arrested soon” said SSP Patiala Varun Sharma.
