Patiala’s first ‘modern police’ station dedicated to people by IG Aulakh

In order to provide state of the art facilities to the people besides providing effective Policing, the Inspector General of Police Patiala Range Jatinder Singh Aulakh today dedicated district’s first ‘Modern Police’ station at Urban Estate.
Dedicating the Police station, the Inspector General of Police, along with Senior Superintendent of Police Vikram Jit Duggal, described it as a ‘Red Letter’ for the district. He said that this would help in making good rapport with the people adding that the help desk set in the Police station would enable the people to get timely information about their complaints and cases. Aulakh said that the LED installed within the premises of the Police station would help the people in getting more information about the policies and programs of the state government.
The Inspector General of Police said that this Police station has been set on Modern lines and after getting the feedback from the employees working in this Police station, it would be replicated in other Police stations too. He said that digitalization of the records pertaining to complaints and cases of the people would help in making the people equip about their records. Aulakh said that this was the first step towards ‘Vision 2021’ adding that more Police stations of the district would be modernized on same lines.

Speaking on the occasion, Senior Superintendent of Police Vikram Jit Duggal said that besides setting up of help desk and installation of LED, a suggestion box has been made outside the Police station that would help in valuable feedback from people. He said that for ensuring home like atmosphere to the ‘juveniles’ coming to Police station with complaint or under some investigation, separate ‘Special Juvenile Room’ along with a recreation room has been set up in the Police station. Duggal said similarly a state of the art library and new mess has also been set for the cops working in the Police station.
