PAU-KVKs Research Team Wins ICSSR Grant for Gender Mainstreaming Project

A research team from Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) – Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) has brought laurels to the university by securing a prestigious ICSSR project grant of Rs.16 lakhs. The project, titled “Gender Mainstreaming Among Agricultural Labourers by Nurturing their Psychological and Nutritional Wellbeing in Punjab,” is led by Dr. Gurupdesh Kaur, Professor (Home Science) at KVK Patiala, who serves as the Principal Investigator (PI).

The project team includes Dr. Parminder Kaur, Professor (KVK Moga); Dr. Manisha Bhatia, Assistant Professor (KVK Fatehgarh Sahib); Dr. Vitasta, Assistant Professor (KVK Sangrur); and Dr. Divya, Assistant Professor (KVK Ferozepur). Additionally, the project involves collaborative work with Dr. Piverjeet Kaur Dhillon from Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU) and Dr. Harpreet Kaur, Professor and Director, Women’s Studies Centre, Punjabi University, Patiala.

Sabhikhi, Deputy Director (Training), KVK Patiala, extended their heartfelt congratulations to the faculty members for this outstanding accomplishment.
