Pb Govt to tie up with Chitkara community Radio-Channi
The Punjab Government to tie-up with the ‘Chtkara FM Radio’ for publicizing the achievements and aware people about the various welfare schemes of the government. The Punjab Technical Education & Industrial training Minister Charanjit Singh Channi discussed this with the Chitkara University administration during his visit to the ‘Chitkara FM 107.8’ community radio station.
The Minister said that the Chitkara FM Radio station is equipped with all the latest technology and also have very good radio presenters. The minister said that the Punjab government would utilize the services of the Chitkara Radio for creating awareness among the masses of the surrounding area such as career counselling programmes, traffic awareness, health programmes, scholarship schemes and such other schemes.
Channi said that with such initiatives the people could be made aware how to benefit from various schemes of the government. The minister also visited the TV studio of the Chitkara which has the latest facilities to organize online/offline interviews and debate programs.
Vice Chancellor of Chitkara University, Dr Madhu Chitkara briefing about Chitkara FM Community radio station said that they are running round the clock 24 hr programs on the radio. She said that the radio station has a reach of 15 kilometers radius. She offered that they are open for any kind of support to the state government for utilizing their services of radio station and TV Studios. She also offered that their department of Mass Communication can even produce documentaries for the Punjab Government.
The Dean of the Mass Communication Department Dr. Ashutosh Mishra also interviewed the Technical Education Minister for the Chitkara Radio regarding the new steps being taken by the state department for bridging the gap between Industry and Technical Education.
The Minister asked the Chitkara administration to come up with the detailed proposal to sign MoU with the state government and Chitkara Radio.
