Pbi Uni System Officers to raise demand with VC

An emergent meeting of the Punjabi University System Officers Association (PUSOA) was held at university guest house. This meeting was largely attended by the all System Officers working in the teaching, non-teaching departments and regional centres of the Punjabi University. The members of the association unanimously decided to send a memorandum to the Vice Chancellor, Dr. B. S. Ghuman regarding genuine demands of the system officers.
While giving this information spokesman of the association, Er. Sudhir Arora said that the System Officers are the A Class officers, but the university denying them the facilities and financial benefits of the A class officer. He demanded secretariat and conveyance allowance at par with other university officer. He alleged that the university administration discriminating with them. He further said that their posts are Academic Non-vocational, but the university denying them benefits of teaching post as well as non-teaching posts. He threatened that if their demands not accepted by the university authority they will be forced to start an agitation after the Diwali festival.
Dalbir Singh, Sukhwinder Singh, Er. Ashwani Rohila, Arun Bansal and all system officers working in different teaching, non teaching departments and regional campuses of the Punjabi University was present in this meeting.
