PDA Takes Strict Action Against Unauthorised Colonies in Patiala District, demolished

The Patiala Development Authority (PDA), under the leadership of Chief Administrator Manisha Rana and Additional Chief Administrator Jashanpreet Kaur Gill, has taken decisive action against two unauthorised colonies that were developed in violation of the Punjab Apartment and Property Regulation Act, 1995. These colonies, located in Village Seona and Village Balbehra in Tehsil and District Patiala, have been demolished.
PDA officials emphasized their commitment to safeguarding public investments and preventing unregulated development in the district. They reiterated that strict action will be taken against any unauthorized colonies within the jurisdiction of PDA, Patiala.
In addition to these demolitions, the PDA has issued notices to several other colonizers involved in developing unauthorized colonies. If the required documents are not provided or notices remain unaddressed within the stipulated period, similar action will be initiated, including the registration of FIRs under the relevant sections of the Punjab Apartment and Property Regulation Act, 1995.
The operation was carried out in the presence of District Town Planner Seema Kaushal, Assistant Town Planner Gurinder Singh, Sub-Divisional Engineer Rajeev Kumar, and Junior Engineers Gurpreet Singh, Sanjeev Kumar, Gurpyar Singh, and Pankaj Garg.
