Pink Power: Indian Women’s National Cricket Team Won World Cup-Sazia

India created World-level history on 2 November, 2025 by winning their first-ever ICC Women’s World Cup title against South Africa this Sunday.

Both teams were trying for their maiden World Cup title where India defeated South Africa by 52 runs at Dr. DY Patil Stadium, triumphed and lifted its first ICC World-Cup trophy in Navi Mumbai!

With immense honour, women in blue made 298/7 while South Africa could only score 246. India’s top scorer, Shafali Verma made 87 runs and off-spinner Deepti Sharma, the star, took 5 for 39 which made South Africa lose from 209 for 5 to 246 all out.

Captain, Harmanpreet Kaur was very proud of this achievement and Head coach, Amol Mazumdar called the victory a watershed moment for women’s cricket in India.

Overall the win would have a very positive impact over women’s cricket across the country marking the culmination of a long journey towards becoming champions.
