Plan meticulously for success in Civil Services Examination. This was the centre point of the expert lecture given by Hardeep Singh Dhillon, DGP, Law & Order, Punjab to the students of IAS & Allied Services Training Centre, Punjabi University, Patiala.
DGP Dhillon put forward several critical aspects of civil services preparation. He said that Civil Services preparation is test of once perseverance and endurance. Their happen to be many temptations in life that often distracts a person. Such distractions can come in any form and should be put aside to focus on the ultimate goal. He talked about the significance of reading habits, especially regular reading of newspapers. DGP Dhillon said that study never goes unrewarded. Country needs civil servants who are well educated not well schooled. He also stressed on getting assistance from experts when facing any kind of problems regarding exam preparation.
Vice-Chancellor Dr. B.S. Ghuman while welcoming the guests talked about the initiative taken by the University’s IAS Centre in inviting eminent personalities for expert lectures. Dr. Ghuman highlighted the role of hard work and subject selection for success in Civil Services Examination. He said that University is going all the way to provide best learning facilities to Civil Services aspirants.
A.S. Rai, IG, Patiala zone also participated in the proceedings of the session and said that youth in Punjab have to refocus on getting high ranks in Civil Services Examination.
Dr. Amar Inder Singh, Director, IAS & Allied Services Training Centre talked about the immense infrastructure created in the centre for uplifting the skill-level of various students.
