Plastic Free Campaign launched at Govt. Mohindra College Patiala

Govt. Mohindra College Patiala launched a cleanliness and plastic free campaign under the guidance of Principal, Prof. Amarjit Singh.

It was launched in association with Municipal Corporation Patiala, led by I.C Expert, Amandeep Sekhon. Speaking on the occasion, Principal of the college motivated the NCC and NSS volunteers to make the campus plastic free and serene.

He emphasised that the use of single-use plastic is very harmful and also poses severe health risks. Amandeep Sekhon told that Municipal Corporation Patiala had started cleanliness drive from 5th Feb to 10 Feb,2024.

He stated that plastic waste should be handed over to waste collectors only for proper recycling. Plastic collected during the cleanliness drive was sent to the M.R.F Centre, 21 No. Phatak, Patiala.

College NCC in-charge Prof. Navjot Singh, NSS Program Officers Prof. Sunita Arora, Prof. Suveer Singh, Prof. Kamaljeet Kaur, Prof. Sawarn Kaur, Sanitary Inspector  Rajesh Mattu,  Jwala Singh,  Sunil Mehta were present. Approximately 100 students including NSS volunteers and NCC cadets participated in this campaign.
