PM Modi addresses voters of 45 assembly constituencies at its first election rally at Patiala

Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi came to Patiala to address first election rally in Punjab.
Prime Minister Modi helicopter landed in Patiala at around 4:30 pm at YPS School, Patiala opposite to the rally venue Polo Ground and goes back at around 5:30 pm
After that he reached the election rally venue wearing turban with Punjab BJP president Sunil Jakhar. At the stage BJP party candidates from Patiala-Preneet Kaur, Sangrur-Arvind Khanna, Bathinda- Parampal Kaur Sidhu, Faridkot-Hans Raj Hans and Fatehgarh Sahib-Gejja Ram jointly honoured PM Modi.
Around 25000 people from 45 assembly constituencies came along with their party lok sabha candidates (Patiala, Fatehgarh Sahib, Faridkot, Sangrur, Bathinda) to hear their favourite speaker PM Narendra Modi. As per BJP’s spokesperson thousands of other supporters can’t reach the venue due to tight security and roads blocked by the farmers at all entry points of Patiala.
PM Modi began his around 45 minutes speech by paying rich tributes to the land of ‘Guru Tegh Bahadur.’ He said, “After the five phases of voting, the message of the people of India resonates with ‘Fir ek Baar, Modi Sarkar’.” He urged Punjab to vote for the BJP to ensure a ‘Viksit Bharat.’
Speaking on the 2024 elections, PM Modi stated, “This election is a contest between the NDA and the corrupt I.N.D.I alliance to determine India’s future.” He contrasted the two sides by saying, “On one hand, there is Modi who aims to manufacture fighter jets in India, and on the other, there is the I.N.D.I alliance that aimed to dismantle India’s nuclear arsenal.”
Modi said, “Rampant corruption and dampened industrial prospects have destroyed the state of Punjab.” He added, “Today, resource mafia, drugs mafia, and shooter gangs rule the roost in Punjab.” He criticized the state government, saying, “The state government of Punjab is debt-ridden, and its CM is only CM on paper.” PM Modi added, “Corrupt Congress and AAP are two sides of the same coin,” aiming to plunder Punjab and deprive it of any development.
He said, “It was the I.N.D.I alliance’s divisive politics that caused the partition of India and kept us away from the Kartarpur Sahib for 70 years.” He praised the BJP government for commemorating ‘Veer Bal Diwas,’ bringing all Sikh brothers and sisters from Afghanistan to safety, and retrieving the ‘Holy Guru Granth Sahib.’
In conclusion, PM Modi expressed his confidence in the voters of Punjab to enable the BJP to emerge victorious in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in 2024.
Earlier, state BJP President Sunil Jakhar Imploring Prime Minister Narendra Modi to save the ‘nasal’ (generation) and faslal (crop) of Punjab. He said only a strong and robust leadership at the Center and state can save Punjab’s future.
Urging PM Modi, Jakhar said ‘Punjab farmers need your hand, your support to augment their income’. “The state government has failed to come to the rescue of farmers. It’s sitting on laurels of central BJP schemes that are helping farmers in Punjab and elsewhere,”
Lauding the Prime Minister for his foresight, Jakhar said PM Modi’s decision to go solo without any alliance in Punjab in this election has hastened BJP’s growing footprints in the state. “This election is only a trial. The BJP will form a strong government in the 2027 assembly elections,” Jakhar said.
