PNB officers,employees jointly held the demonstration
Patiala: A mass demonstration was held in front of Circle Office of Punjab National Bank Patiala. More than 500 employees and Officers Jointly held the demonstration under the banner of AIPNBOA and AAIPNBEF.
While addressing the gathering Com Jagjit Singh AGS AIPNBOA Punjab and Com Sukhbir Singh AGS PNB Staff union told that in the recent days, Management is taking decisions unilaterally ignoring the bipartite nature of the issues. Lot many such decisions are affecting workmen and officers negatively and apparently does not benefit bank in anyway.
Despite the said situation both the organizations have been extending cooperation sanguine bounce back in the peformance and image of the Bank, in the aftermath of Nirav Modi scam. But contrary to that, Management is escalating unilateralism on all staff members, one after the other in the name of pressure from Government, RBI, CVC, Board etc.
Management thoughtless approach on Manpower is compounding the plight of employees in branches, reeling under pressure and undergoing stress to complete day to day work, maintaining customer service & implementing systems and procedures, particularly at rural and semi urban branches Management has put an embargo on even the need based recruitment in all cadres, whereas the banks under PCA are recruiting staff to take care of retirements, compliance and future business growth of their institutions.
