Police commemoration day observed at Rupnagar

Police commemoration day was observed at police lines Rupnagar  in the  memory of police officers and employees who were martyred while on duty.

On this occasion, remembering the martyrdom of Punjab police jawans, SSP Dr. Sandeep Garg said that Punjab Police has a glorious history and Punjab Police has made great sacrifices to maintain the unity, integrity and brotherhood of the country which is a source of inspiration for the police department.

Dr. Sandeep Garg said that the families of the martyrs are our own families and the police department stands with the families of the martyrs in every moment of sorrow and happiness.He invited the police officers and jawans to take guidance from the martyrs and perform their duties with more devotion to public service.

On this occasion Deputy Commissioner Dr. Preeti Yadav, Additional District and Sessions Judge Sham Lal, Additional District and Sessions Judge Barinder Singh Rumana also presented tributes to  the Police Martyrs.

On the occasion, Dr Sandeep Garg also listened to the  problems of the families of the martyred jawans.

DSP Simranjit Singh read out the names of 261 martyrs of the police and paramilitary forces who died during duty during last one year.

At the end of the martyrdom ceremony, SSP And the Deputy Commissioner      honoured the families of the police martyrs.

On the occasion, SDM Sri Anandpur Sahib Manisha Rana, Assistant Commissioner Dipankar Garg, SDM Rupnagar Harbans Singh, SDM Chamkaur Sahib Harbans Singh, SDM Nangal Kiran Sharma, SP Headquarters Rajpal Singh Hundal, SP Investigation. Manwinderbir Singh, SP Tarun Ratan, DSP Gurmeet Singh, DSP Talwinder Singh, DSP Tarlochan Singh, Satish Kumar, DSP Ajay Singh, DSP Satish Kumar, DSP Rajesh DSP Navneet Mahal, DSPSurinderpal Singh, DSP Gurpreet Singh, DSP Parshotam Singh, DSP Mrs. Deepinder Kaur, DSP Simranjit Singh, retired DSP Sohan Lal Sandhu, retired APRO Rajinder Saini and a large number of police personnel were present.
