Police DAV Patiala celebrated Bio Diversity Day
Patiala-22nd May is celebrated worldwide as International Biodiversity day. To commemorate this day at Police DAV, Patiala a special event was organized by the officials of forest department. A floral welcome was given to Jugraj Singh (D.F.O), Amandeep Kaur and Sukhminder Singh (Range officer) by the school Principal Meena Thapar.
The main activities during the event include a talk by Jugraj Singh Rathaur( D.F.O) ,a powerpoint presentation on Biodiversity by Parneet Kaur supported by the team of forest department. To mark this day, a painting competition was also organised in which Sonia of class IX got 1st prize,Navita of IX got II and Meena Of class VIII got 3rd prize who were appreciated by Jugraj Singh with certificates.
Students took pledge to look after the environment .The DFO promised to provide the school with saplings to make the school green and beautiful. A momentum was also presented by the team of forest department to the school in the memory of this special day.
School Principal Meena Thapar extended her heartfelt gratitude to them for sparing the valuable time and enlightening the students with their knowledge.
