Police DAV Public School celebrated Hindi Diwas

Students of Police DAV Public School, Patiala celebrated Hindi Diwas. They enthusiastically took part in the special assembly held to mark the occasion. A speech was delivered by Yogita of class 10 highlighting the importance of the day. A skit was performed depicting the importance of Hindi language in today’s scenario. It also highlighted the need and awareness of the language even for the illiterate persons.

To make the day memorable many activities were done by students in the class wherein they did one act skits , calligraphy ,poem recitation, etc. They also greeted everyone with ‘Namaskar’. Everyone seemed to be in joyous mood and participated with a lot of zeal. The class boards also depicted Hindi as a universal language. The School Principal, Meena Thapar greeted everyone on the occasion of Hindi  Diwas and asked students to be proud of our nation and its vast cultural heritage.

Hindi Divas

Hindi Divas is celebrated on 14 September, to commemorate the adoption of Hindi written in Devanagari script as one of the two official languages of the Republic of India by Constituent Assembly of India. On the 50th birthday of Beohar Rajendra Simha on 14 September 1949, the efforts came to fruition following adoption of Hindi as an official language.
