Police DAV Public School Patiala organised Summer Bonanza 2021

Covid times have been tough times for all especially children. Keeping this in mind and to engage students in productive activities, an online summer camp was organised for the students of classes 1 to 7 titled Summer Bonanza 2021.It was organised for a week from 7 June till 12 June 2021, where students got a chance to learn creative activities free of cost. They learnt the art of calligraphy from Jagroopkaur and Deepinder Kaur wherein they practiced different writing styles to help them write beautifully in assignments given to them.
They learnt how to make articles with paper folding as origami activity from Ritu Singh. Children made amazing flowers in craft activity from Tanu. Kajal taught the students about spoken English skills and enrich their vocabulary. In order to make students more confident, Rachna Sharma highlighted the importance of Public speaking.
Science can be fun ,was taught by Mandeep Kaur and Mamta Gupta where students performed tricks and experiments to gain practical knowledge.
The art of story telling was taken by Sandeep Kaur and Seema Kang where they displayed their impeccable skills and engrossed the students into their stories. Social etiquettes are very important for children. To aprise them about it, Meeru and Sushma Walia cited examples of their daily lives to improve social mannerisms amongst children.
Police DAV Public School principal MeenaThapar applauded the efforts of the students and staff on conclusion of the camp. She extended her heartfelt thanks to the efforts of the Supervisor, Gurpreet Kaur and the Activity incharge Monika Khanna in making the event glitch free.
She extended her thanks to the parents and students from other schools for participating and showing their enthusiasm to explore their creative sides. She further added that such events engage students and allow them to explore their potential to the maximum. She congratulated everyone on this stupendous success.The meeting ended on an optimistic note.
