Under the headship of deputy superintendent of police traffic, A. R. Sharma, Baden Powell‘s birth anniversary was celebrated. It aimed at raising awareness among the students to always be ready to safeguard and serve their parents .On this occasion, Retd. traffic Marshall and Red Cross society Kaka Ram Verma and Training officer of Indian scout , R. P. Bangar enlightened the students about the life history of Baden Powell.
They gave them knowledge about disaster management, fire fighting, various first aid methods and obedience of traffic rules. While interacting with the students, A. R. Sharma motivated the students to aware their parents regarding traffic rules for their safety and not to use motor vehicles till the age of 16.
Police DAV public school Patiala organized seminar on traffic rules.School Principal Meena Thapar extended her heartiest gratitude to Rai for sparing his valuable time and enlightening the students .She added that this information is also important for the students besides bookish knowledge.
Baden Powell
Lieutenant General Robert Stephenson Smyth Baden-Powell, 1st Baron Baden-Powell, OM, GCMG, GCVO, KCB, KStJ, DL (22 February 1857 – 8 January 1941), was a British Army officer, writer, founder and first Chief Scout of the world-wide Boy Scout Movement, and founder, with his sister Agnes, of the world-wide Girl Guide / Girl Scout Movement. Baden-Powell authored the first editions of the seminal work Scouting for Boys, which was an inspiration for the Scout Movement.
Baden-Powell served in the British Army from 1876 until 1910 in India and Africa
