Police DAV Public School Patiala shines in Spain

Keeping the tradition alive another asset was added in the history of Police D.A.V Public School Patiala when Komal, a student of class 12 won a silver medal in the Boxing Arena held in Spain.
Komal was one of the 10 students who represent India in the Boxem international Event held in Spain(Murcia). The event was held from April 9 till April 14,2019. Komal competed in the 75-80 Kg weight category. She gave a tough competition to the winner from Spain and had to settle down for a Silver.
However Komal gained acknowledgement from everyone who witnessed the match .She was applauded and cheered by one and all present there.
She was warmly welcomed with garlands by the students and staff members and they applauded for the international sports star.
The School Principal Meena Thapar congratulated Komal and her parents for showing exemplary talent in keeping the national flag flying high. She further added that girls with exceptional talent must be given a chance to fulfill their dreams. Komal success has proved that sky is the limit for hard working people. Only sincere efforts and dedication towards the sports can get you what you aim for. She wished Komal a bright future ahead and wished to see her winning gold for India next time.
