Polling Day-Medical teams formed to deal with emergency situations

In view of upcoming election,to deal with medical emergency, a meeting of Senior Medical officers of Govt. Hospitals of distt. patiala was held by Civil Surgeon Dr. Manjit Singh. During this meeting, directions were given to keep medical teams ready for any untoward event-emergency during the voting day and till the declaration of results. Direction were issued that all the emergency services will be given in all the healthy facilities. It was also assured by all the senior medical officers that they have already made the necessary arrangements which include first aids kits, emergency drugs and necessary equipment to treat the patients in any emergency situations.

Civil Surgeon Dr. Manjit directed that health staff in all the facility will be deputed on rotatory basis so that they must also utilise their right to vote and at the same time health services during this period are also not suffered. He also give strict instructions that any kind of negligence by any health staff will not be tolerated.In this meeting Assistant Civil Surgeon Dr. Shally Jaitly, all health programme officers and Senior Medical Officers were present.
