Powercom to give jobs to kin’s who died on duty-Kangar

Bathinda- “Powercom will soon be giving jobs to kin of those employees who died while on duty. However, only those families will be given jobs that did not take compensation after the death of employee” said Power, New and Renewable Sources Minister Punjab Gurpreet Singh Kangar while answering a media query at the side lines of sangat darshan program held at village Dyalpura  Bir in Rampur today.

He added that the Punjab government was committed to root out the evil of drug addiction and no government officers or employee found involved in drug trade or found not taking action in drug trade will be taken to task. Already SHO Rampura and munshi have been arrested in one such case and this stern action will continue in days to come.

Punjab government’s crusade against drugs, launched by the Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, has badly damaged the nexus of drug peddlers and addicts. Due to the non-availability of drugs, the addicts are resorting to usage of cocktail of habit forming drugs, which is taking their lives. Instead of this, the family members of these addicts should bring them to the government de-addiction centers where they can be treated.
