PPSC increases PCS, Tehsildar posts, extends date for applying, payment of fees

Punjab public service commission (PPSC) has increased the total number of seats for Punjab State Civil Services Combined Competitive Examination-2025 from 322 to 331.
As per PPSC authorities, 3 seats are increased in PCS (Executive Branch) and 6 seats in Tehsildar category. Rest will remain the same. The new applicants can apply by September 14,2025.With these increases, now PCS will have 49 numbers of posts and Tehsildar will have 33 seats.
On January 3,2025, on the last working day of the former commission’s chairman, Jatinder Singh Aulakh the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) had issued the long-awaited notification for the Punjab State Civil Services Combined Competitive Examination-2025 (PSCSCCE-2025) for 322 posts.
Only the fresh applicants belonging to the new category i.e Balmiki/Mazhbi Sikh Sports Person, Punjab (Category Code -84) can apply, edit their application forms and submit Fee. All other category candidates cannot apply afresh as vacancies in their respective categories were already advertised earlier and they were given a fair chance to apply for these vacancies.
It is for the information of the candidates who have already been registered for the said exam i.e. who have completed the first and second step of online registration (means completely filled their online application form and have uploaded both their scanned photo and their signatures) before the closing date i.e. 31/01/2025 but due to some reasons were not able to pay the Fee, a link/window is being opened for them to pay their pending Fee from 03/09/2025 to 14/09/2025 till 11:59 PM. Such candidates won’t be allowed to edit their application forms or upload their photo and signatures. They can only pay their Fee online. Fee link “ONLINE PAYMENT” is available on the homepage of the Commission’s website.
All the other terms and conditions remains the same as per advertisement no. 20251 dated 03/01/2025 and public notice dated 08/01/2025 issued earlier.
