PSPCL Director Admin Jasbir Singh Sur Singh holds meetings with officials of different circles

In order to enhancing uninterrupted and improved electricity services across various circles, Jasbir Singh Sur Singh, the Director Admin of Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL), conducted meetings with officials from different circles.

Under the guidance of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and Power Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO, the objective of these ongoing discussions is to consistently improve power distribution and provide better electricity services to consumers. As part of this initiative, Director Admin Jasbir Singh Sur Singh engaged in high-level meetings with officials from Tarn Taran, Amritsar City, Civil Subdivision Amritsar, and P and M Circle Amritsar.

During the meetings, discussions were held regarding the initiation of feeder-wise metering in Tarn Taran, with a focus on starting the installation of prepaid meters. Discussions also included preparing the proposal to include individuals who have installed private transformers (single and three-phase) in the PSPCL system.

Besides, authorities were instructed to prepare details of computers required in the office for the convenience of the consumers and asked them to send the details to IT office.

Furthermore, Director Admin discussed the possibility of implementing a solar installation scheme in the Border Zone area. In addition, Sur Singh addressed the issue of vacant positions in the Part Time Cleaning Staff working under the Tarn Taran Circle and instructed officials to provide the details so that vacant positions can be filled.

He also sought information regarding tubewells connected to the city feeders and reviewed status of shifting them.

Sur Singh obtained updates on the status of pending and approved works under maintenance in the Civil Subdivision under the Border Zone. He also obtained information about the status of electricity losses in the Patti and Bhikhiwind area and explored ways to minimize them.

Regarding areas under Amritsar City, Sur Singh inquired about the status of the demarcation of the PSPCL property in the Bharariwal village and he also reviewed the status of the new building being constructed near Hall Gate.

The meetings were attended by Er Satinder Sharma, CE BORDER zone, Amritsar; Er Mohtam Singh Dy CE circle Tarn Taran; Er Sukhraj Bahadur Singh Marhala, ASE O&M Tarn Taran; Er Simar Pal  Singh, ASE Hakima Gate; Er Sarabjit Sharma,  ASE East Amritsar; Er Guriqbal Singh, ASE Civil, construction division Amritsar and others.
