Till now Punjab state power corporation limited is meeting the demand of all categories of consumers; however coal stocks in the thermals are not building due to extra ordinary demand. PSPCL is making all out efforts to get maximum possible coal for the thermals however in view of coal shortage prevailing throughout the country and consistent increase in demand, PSPCL humbly appeals to all its consumers:
- Switch off air conditioners, lights, devices, domestic and agriculture pumpsets when not required.
- Temperature setting of ACs be kept above26ºC.
- Shunt capacitors of sufficient capacity be installed on motors of agriculture pumpsets and industrial loads.
Theft of electricity in addition to increase in distribution losses also results in rise in tariff due to low revenue collection increasing the burden on honest consumers. Therefore, PSPCL also appeals to esteemed consumers/NGOs/informers to help controlling the menace of theft of power by providing feedback about theft of electricity.
